Our Black Country communities are truly at the heart of The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) and we need help from community organisations, advocates and community members to help us make the change we need to. There will be different ways to get involved and the first two ways you can make a difference are below.
Let’s take action together to improve mental health services for people from diverse ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds!
Join our movement; building better for our Black Country communities. Come along to one of our community workshops to co-produce the priorities for action for The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF); NHS England’s anti-racism framework for NHS mental health trusts and service providers.
There is an event in each Black Country locality: Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. They are aimed at: system partners; voluntary, community and social enterprises; community leaders, representatives and activists; and governors and staff from the NHS Trust.
See below for details and book your place!
Establish an independent advisory network
We need host organisations who can bring together and support a network representing racialised communities in one or more locality of the Black Country (Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall or Wolverhampton).
Organisations would be expected to have funding in place or be in the process of a funding application (we can support).
You can read more about this opportunity in our leaflet and interested organisations should complete the online expression of interest form below.
