Patients and service users

We want to ensure that everyone accessing our services has the appropriate language support.

We use Word360 to support our non-english speaking patients.

If you would like to request an interpreter for an upcoming appointment or check that one has been booked for you, you can do so by clicking here.

Whilst we cannot guarantee that an interpreter will be available at the time of your appointment, will try to ensure that we are able to provide you with either with a face to face or telephone language support.  

 

Support for deaf patients

A BSL interpreter or other non-spoken communication support is available when accessing our services.

If you would like to request an interpreter for an upcoming appointment or check that one has been booked for you, you can do so by clicking here

Alternatively, you can text 07887 622 746.

If you are unable to speak or understand English, or if you need a British Sign Language interpreter, please tell the staff in the department or ward that you will be visiting. We will make arrangements to help you.

It is helpful if you can let us know, as soon as possible, before you come into hospital as it may take time to make these arrangements.
