Following a change in national guidance and to support the wellbeing and person-centred care of our patients, the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have reviewed and amended our visiting policy in line with the new guidance.

As a Trust we request:

  • Anyone showing any symptoms of any respiratory infection including influenza and COVID-19 or anyone feeling unwell should not visit.
  • In areas where there are outbreaks or patients with confirmed or suspected flu or COVID-19, you'll need to wear a surgical mask. In other areas with lower risk (like a single case or a small group of cases), masks might still be required. Either way, it's important to clean your hands when you go in and out of any ward.

Please also note:

  • Patients who test positive for COVID-19 are required to isolate for a period of 5 -10 days whilst in hospital.  During this time, they will still be able to receive visitors.
