Alert - (Amber)

Alert:

From Friday 14 April 2023, we will be ceasing individual intervention referrals for the Black Country Health and Wellbeing Hub. The service will continue to support staff who are already using the service until the end of June.

Despite this change, there are a range of national and local resources available to health and social care staff including the 24-7 mental health support line which is available to all Black Country residents.

If you work in health and social care and are concerned about your mental health, please speak to your manager who will be able to signpost you to the health and wellbeing offers within your organisation.

Do you work in health and social care across the Black Country?

The Black Country Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub was created during the Covid-19 pandemic as the time was increasingly challenging to staff across the NHS, primary care, community services, and social care which impacted staff's mental wellbeing. It’s more important than ever that we look after ourselves, stay connected, and keep the conversation going about how we are feeling and how these circumstances are affecting us.

The Black Country Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub was created to provide an entry point into mental health talking therapies and support for colleagues across the Black Country Integrated Care System (ICS). Find out more about the ICS here.

Please visit the resources section on this page to access useful information including Wellbeing Workshops and Mindfulness Sessions hosted by The Black Country Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub.

Please note this is not a crisis service. If you require urgent mental health support, please call Rethink's 24/7 mental health helpline on 0800 0086516 or visit our help in a crisis page for a range of options.

You can find out more about the 24/7 mental health helpline here.
