NHS England and NHS Improvement are working with the Money Advice Service to provide all health and social care staff with free and independent financial support.

There are a variety of financial support offers that you are able to access:

  • National Express Discount - Get 10% on all National Express West Midlands products
  • Money Advice Service - Offers free and impartial money advice and is set up by the government.
  • Free Telephone Support Line - NHS people can call this support line 0800 448 0826, provided by the Money Advice Service for free and impartial money advice. The support line is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
  • WhatsApp Support Contact - Add 07701 342 744 to your WhatsApp and send the Money Advice Service national support team a message for help with sorting out your debts, credit questions and pensions guidance.
  • Online Chat Portal - Chat to one of the Money Advice Service team on their online portal.
  • Wagestream allows staff to access a range of financial wellbeing tools including tracking your earnings in real-time, saving money directly from your pay, advice on financial tips, and InstantPay which allows you to access 20% of your earnings early to deal with financial emergencies.

  • Lamplight Support Service - telephone support service in partnership with the RCN, that supports nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants who are dealing with financial hardship.

  • British Legion - Everyday Needs Grant - For any veterans we have working in Health & Social Care, The Royal British Legion, supporting the Armed Forces community, has launched a new grant scheme for veterans and their families who are struggling to pay their energy bills. The initiative will provide non-repayable emergency grants of up to £2,400 a year (£200 a month), and is available across the UK.
