Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is encouraging community members to take advantage of limited remaining places on its Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA®) online course, running later this week.

Would you like to learn how to support a friend, family member or colleague experiencing mental health issues? Or know where to go for help with your own mental health?

The four-part training, delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams, is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to support mental health both in the workplace and in the wider community. On our Mental Health First Aid course you will learn how to understand the factors that affect people’s wellbeing, how to spot warning signs of poor mental health, and how to hold supportive and non-judgemental conversations.

By supporting people with their mental health, you will enable earlier access to crisis support, reduce the impact of long-term poor mental health or illness and help contribute to a healthier community.
