The 21st annual Suicide Prevention Symposium will take place on Friday 12 September 2025 at The Beeches, Wolverhampton, with the option to join remotely via MS Teams.

Running from 9.30am to 2pm, this hybrid event brings together professionals, researchers, and those with lived experience to share evidence, reflections, and innovation in suicide prevention. Registration opens from 9am.

Call for speakers and presenters now open

We are now inviting expressions of interest from speakers and presenters. The symposium is known for its inclusive and thought-provoking programme, and welcomes contributions on a wide range of topics, including:

  • Recent advances in suicide prevention

  • Audit findings or service evaluations

  • Lived experience perspectives

  • Reflections on the RCA (Root Cause Analysis) process

  • Reviews of national reports, academic papers, or guidelines

  • Trust-led or local initiatives

Presentation Formats Available

Participants can choose from several flexible presentation options:

  • Oral presentations: 10, 20, or 30-minute talks, each followed by a dedicated Q&A session

  • Poster presentations: either A2 printed posters for the venue, or electronic versions for online circulation

All presenters will receive certificates of participation, and CPD points will be available.
