This article comes from your LGBTQ+ Network; “What is one of those?” I hear you say. We are a group of people whom would describe themselves as somewhere under the umbrella term LGBTQ+ that meet on a regular basis with the hope of achieving three main things:

  1. Provide a safe place for colleagues whom are LGBTQ+ to know you are welcomed, important and valued.
  2. Connect with others whom are LGBTQ+ including for social connections.
  3. Help our organisation to know how to do as well as possible as employers of people whom are LGBTQ+

We are increasingly aware that there are a small number of us wanting to represent what must be a really significant number of staff in BCH. We are curious to know if more colleagues would like to be involved and if more colleagues would like to influence our objectives for the year and several years ahead and to understand what, if anything, gets in the way of colleagues participating in the network. With this in mind we have created some meeting opportunities for conversation and connection.

LGBTQ+ Network Consultations

The LGBTQ+ network are hosting a series of consultation/engagement meetings, with support from our senior colleagues. We want to create the space and opportunity for people to voice the needs of the community; to consider whether the network is right for them; to find out ways of contributing the life of LGBTQ+ colleagues and to shape our priorities as a network. Sessions will be hosted on MS Teams at the dates/ times below.
