Amber Cold-Health Alert for West Midlands
An amber cold-health alert has been issued for the West Midlands via the UK Health Security Agency.
The amber alert (cold weather response) is in effect from 12pm on 02/01/2025 until 12pm on 08/01/2025.
This is an important stage for health and social services to ensure readiness and swift action to reduce harm from cold weather.
Guidance to assist professionals in protecting vulnerable people are set out in the Adverse Weather and Health Plan for England.
